Systems Analyst (Information Technology)
As a member of the Information Systems (I.S.) team, the Systems Analyst will join a small and agile team supporting internal and external clients. The Systems Analyst will manage the NextGen EHR/PM software, providing application support, training/education and lead system upgrades including the development of new solutions within NextGen. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, have strong time management and organization skills and have solid experience and knowledge of EHR and systems.
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or related field by an accredited educational institution and one year of experience in a healthcare delivery setting required. Two years professional software support and development with NextGen EMR/PM strongly preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for enhancing the functionality of the NextGen EHR/PM software used by Children's Clinics. This professional will be responsible for working directly with internal and external clients, including all levels of management, information technology professionals, product end users and other key stakeholders. Focus will be in providing application support; working with customers to identify areas of opportunity; gathering customer requirements and developing new solutions within NextGen; developing reports; testing, troubleshooting and performing product upgrades. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Consults with IT team members, operational and clinical users and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to: review and understand customer requirements and specifications; clarify program intent; define and resolve issues; modify appropriate templates or documents to suit custom workflows or client needs; suggest changes; develop appropriate templates and software to suit custom workflows or client needs.
Leads small to large sized projects or initiatives.
Understands the business/clinical strategy of a particular area and proactively works with customers to define the necessary information needed to drive improvement.
Performs additional programming tasks using SQL commands and stored procedures to extract data from the application and provide queries/reports to users, management and external clients.
Performs application upgrades, troubleshoot upgrade issue and assist in upgrade and new product/software testing.
Supports and troubleshoot system architecture, database and performance as well as other aspects of the NextGen application at a high level.
Effectively develops reports using NextGen EHR/PM Report Writer utilities.
Performs new hire orientation, creates network accounts and request vendors to create additional accounts for users.
Performs other duties as required and assigned

Ability to determine, document and present information for the selection and implementation of vendor products which meet the needs of the Clinic.
Ability to install, configure and upgrade complex system applications, databases, utilities and hardware.
Ability to assist computer operators with problems relating to software and hardware.
Ability to provide technical assistance to staff including interpretation of specifications.
Ability to keep abreast of the latest developments and studies regarding new technologies and their application to our business.
Ability to provide users support for a variety of technical, computer and printer issues.
Ability to demonstrate competence in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access). Demonstrates high levels of technical and professional knowledge while quickly assimilating new knowledge.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in management information systems or related field or equivalent combination or education and experience required
Experience:
One or more years related experience in healthcare delivery setting required
Two or more years professional software support and development experience with NexxtGen EHR/PM or other healthcare application preferred

FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE
Employees are required to maintain a current Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Proof of a current fingerprint clearance card must be received within 90 days of employment.
