Position description
This position will be a nursing data specialist working to support our Stroke Program to ensure our quality and regulatory metrics are met. The nursing data specialist works collaboratively in a team structure to manage data related to strategic, administrative, educational, quality, or clinical measurement through vended and locally developed applications. Writes and executes database queries and develops reports from identified databases. Responsible for data collection and analysis. The Nursing Data Specialist identifies trends and problem solves data discrepancies. Assists with managing security, performs routine maintenance, processes data updates and provides customer support for designated applications. Participates in user acceptance testing in preparation for version upgrade deployments. May be working on multiple projects at one time, stressing a customer-focused approach that includes consistent and timely communication.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, information technology or health care related field with a minimum of three years' applicable experience in data query, analysis and report writing. Experience using report writing tools: Excel, Access, Crystal Reports and Web.

Demonstrated skillful application of analytical and problem solving methodologies. Demonstrated accuracy in analyzing and reporting information. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with others to accomplish goals through collaboration and coordination. Ability to organize and prioritize projects and use of time.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $1,860.80, based on a full-time position.
