CNC Machinist (Manufacturing)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
To operate CNC machining center in order to fabricate parts per customer specifications.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Setup machine with proper tooling for the specific part
• Run/adjust programs as necessary to produce quality parts
• Verify that parts are machined correctly “To The Print"
• Perform first/last article quality check and sign routing per ISO guidelines and check for burrs
• Make sure all jobs are recorded within MRP system and quantities are accurately counted
• Place parts neatly with job orders and deliver to next work center
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Follow all safety policies within work center
• Maintain good attendance
• Work to achieve routing times and report discrepancies to your supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma + 2 years technical school
• 3-5 years experience
• Ability to read/interpret prints including tooling callouts and part tolerances
• Ability to program and operate CNC lathe
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
