Program Manager, Cardiovascular Tech Apprenticeship (Healthcare)



Work Schedule:

100% FTE, day shift. Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:30PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Help mentor and teach future cardiovascular technologists at UW Health.

We are seeking a Program Manager, Cardiovascular Tech Apprenticeship to:

  • Develop curriculum for invasive Cardiovascular Tech apprentices, so they may prepare to write the RCIS board exam and successfully integrate into the lab.
  • Oversee the didactic and clinical education for invasive cardiovascular technology apprentices. 
  • Work directly with the invasive cardiovascular labs to develop competencies for CVT apprentices.

Education:

Minimum – Associate degree in CVT or healthcare related field.

Preferred – Bachelor's degree in CVT or healthcare related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum – Five (5) years of Cardiovascular Technologist work experience in a Cardiovascular Laboratory.

Preferred – Ten (10) years or more years of progressively responsible experience in the Cardiovascular Lab.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum –

• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist) Certification

• BLS certification

• ACLS certification

Preferred – American Registry of Radiologic Technicians ARRT (RT) with Wisconsin Imaging License
