Global Publications Associate Director (Biotech)
The Global Publications Associate Director is responsible for developing and executing Global strategic medical communication plans including, but not limited to, abstracts, posters/presentations, peer-reviewed publications, and consensus guidelines to communicate scientific research and product attributes. Reporting to the Senior Director of Scientific and Medical Communications, this role creates medical communications in collaboration with Medical Communications, Scientific Research, R&D and Medical Information to support the department and organizational objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning - Develop and execute strategic publication plans for Merz Aesthetics products to communicate scientific research on the use of Merz products and/or devices.
Publication Management - Serve as the liaison and central coordinator for publication development with internal stakeholders and external authors, including copy and graphics, to ensure that print and electronic materials are produced in the most compliant and efficient manner to meet timelines and ensure a high level of quality. This requires writing, editing, and graphic design.
Global Collaboration - Collaborate with the Regions to proactively identify needs and translate these into new publications/materials. Interface with appropriate Global Franchise Leads to ensure consistency across Commercial and Medical Affairs team materials.
Quality Control of Publications and Other Materials - Copyedit and proofread materials to edit and fact-check, ensure adherence to AMA and Merz Style guide, as well as align the format of copy and graphics to established guidelines.
Advisory Boards - Develop and conduct advisory boards to address publication gaps and/or new initiatives with publications deliverables.
Tactical and Innovative Execution of Publications - Evaluate technologies for new adoption where appropriate (i.e. electronic media, animations, interactive materials, etc.), manage relationships with third party content vendors to ensure project success.
Management of Publication Library and Reports - Manage the Publication Library and work with internal and external IT consultants to make appropriate enhancements. Collaborate on the monthly highlights section and create metrics dashboard. Monitor product-related and competitive publications via monthly literature searches and congress activity reports; develop and distribute regular publication updates.
Scientific Messaging - Develop and refine scientific platforms for products and/or devices.
