Custodian II (2nd shift) (Finance)
The custodian's responsibility is to clean and maintain designated work areas to ensure cleanliness and safety for all CBC employees.
This position is 2nd shift position and we offer additional compensation for 2nd shift (7.5% + base hourly wage shift differential).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
CARPETS - Demonstrate the ability to keep the carpets in assigned areas of responsibility in a clean well-vacuumed and spot free appearance.
• Carpeted matting, carpeted areas (other than office or workstations) along with general assigned areas of responsibility should be vacuumed daily and check for spots. The edging of workstation panels and under the desk carpet should be vacuumed weekly or as needed as to keep this area free of dust and dirt. The assigned carpeted areas should be free of spots and spills. Problem spots that appear will need to be reported to the supervisor so that further action can be taken.
DUSTING - Demonstrate the ability to keep assigned areas as free of dust as possible. Perform the dusting assignments in such a routine as to stay ahead of ever changing dusting needs.
• The wood furniture is to be dusted on a daily basis.
• The tops of the panels and the filing cabinets are dusted on a weekly basis. In certain areas of the building a more frequent schedule of bi-weekly or as needed dusting may be required.
• The clocks, fire extinguishers, wall pictures, etc., are kept free of dust. These items should be spot checked weekly and dusted as needed.
• The workstation computer equipment is kept free of dust. However, no wet cleaning will be performed to computer equipment, including the monitor screens.
