We are searching for an experienced Service Writer at our Libertyville, Illinois facility.
JOB PURPOSE: Own the fleet work order process from opening to close and perform a variety of compliance duties for the Fleet Department.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Own the work order ticket process from opening to close
• Handle inquiries and maintain correction database
• Perform activities to keep Fleet compliant with laws and regulations
• Ensure that Aldridge’s 5 Key Safety Elements are followed
JOB SPECIFIC TASKS:
• Ensure proper communication of complaint, cause and correction in Fleet database access program
• Field all phone calls from internal customers for equipment service
• Ensure that all work orders are assigned to proper service provider and progress is tracked
• Continuously review open tickets and help to resolve any that have been outstanding for a long time
• Assist mechanics with entering information into the system
• Report to work ready to perform assigned tasks by using established safe work practices
• Maintain outside service activity log(s)
• Pick up/Deliver units to local dealers
• Review Mechanic Time Sheets
• Update GPS miles and hours when discrepancies occur
• Send out open work order lists to all mechanics for review
• Managing Venders/Vender review for Quality Control
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates degree or equivalent industry experience
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• DOT knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, Database skills and tech savvy
• Class A CDL with valid med card preferred
