JOB DESCRIPTION:  

  • Provides IOS mobile application development support of all information system activity in support of the Army Analytics Group (AAG) and the Data Frame Initiative (DFI).  The AAG supports multiple applications that are used Army wide and employees support all AAG initiatives.  We are looking for an iOS developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications.
  • The Army Analytics Group (AAG) provides system configuration and analytical services for the Army's senior leadership and innovative application and data integration across the Enterprise. AAG provides problem solving capabilities that involve massive enterprise data integration and analysis coupled with the most advanced information technology (IT) solutions. AAG accomplishes this work through a series of projects, which configure existing solutions to network people, data, and tools to fix a problem. In addition, AAG provides security portals and application security fixes as a gateway function for programs to migrate to Army Center consolidation platforms to include cloud platforms.
  • Broadleaf provides support services to AAG in the areas of; Software maintenance and enhancements for AAG supported applications, Data Integration and Transformation services for AAG supported applications, Provide Security Code Scanning and documentation for AAG managed applications, Provide quality assurance supporting data integration and transformation services for AAG managed applications, Provide Configuration and Change management services for AAG managed applications, Provide DevOps services supporting continues integration and continuous delivery of software for AAG managed applications. 

Position responsibilities:

  • Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven working experience in software development
  • Working experience in iOS development
  • Have published one or more iOS apps in the app store
  • A deep familiarity with Objective-C and Cocoa Touch
  • Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics and Core Text
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
