Instructional Designer, Talent Development and Learning (Creative Design)
Develops and implements effective learning and development programs based on identified needs of the organization including soft skills, leadership development, competencies, technical skills, and coaching. Programs will include a mixture of e-learning, assessments, classroom, peer-to-peer learning, on-the-job training, mentoring, and coaching.
Designs, implements, facilitates, and evaluates the orientation and onboarding program for all new associates.
Evaluates off-the-shelf in-person, online, and blended talent development programs that expand the knowledge, skills, and abilities of associates to meet organizational goals, including programs related to strategic initiatives.
Plans instructional design projects by participating in team brainstorming and strategy meetings to help define goals and direction.
Partners and collaborates with other learning professionals and business partners in delivering a globally consistent learning experience
Storyboarding and design:
Works with subject matter experts to identify target audience's training needs.
States instructional end goals and creates content that aligns with learning objectives.
Manages overall projects to ensure a globally consistent training experience that directly impacts employee success.
Promotes collaboration, partnership and relationships among the participants and stakeholders in a design project.
Consults, analyzes, and develops highly engaging and interactive learning solutions.
Applies advanced adult learning theories into practical, application-based leadership learning strategy.
Designs learning that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners, including the demonstrated understanding of cultural differences that may apply.
Visualizes instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.
Acquires and applies new technology skills to instructional design practice.
Development & Implementation:
Communicates effectively in visual, oral, and written form and delivers engaging presentations to business leaders.
Creates engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
Applies tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
Creates supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
Proofs course at multiple stages of development and makes or documents required changes.
Coordinates the logistics of all learning and development programs and manages the registration and evaluation processes in the Learning Management System.
Defines project schedules and manages multiple projects simultaneously. Keeps track of project tasks and status using online project management software.
Maintains project documentation and course folders.
Remains a thought leader in instructional design and innovation.
Develops comprehensive measurement & metric strategies for all learning solutions to demonstrate business impact and effectiveness.
Decides on the criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment instruments.
Conducts instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
Applies tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
Provides exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
Designs quizzes and meaningful course interactions to increase learning and retention.
Works with subject matter experts and course sponsors to collect feedback and integrate it into the next course draft.
Translates and analyzes data, draws conclusions, and presents recommendations and summaries for use by Great Teams! and senior leaders to forecast, plan, and take action on Talent Learning and Development and employee engagement strategic initiative
Utilizes knowledge, skills and expertise in training, learning and development to determine and evaluate current and future training, coaching and mentoring needs to establish and enhance a coaching culture.
Coordinates with Forsyth Tech for grant-related educational programming.
Leads special projects related to talent development and strategic initiatives.

Bachelor's degree required
Master's in Adult learning or Instructional Design/Technology preferred
Experience working in an Agile and ADDIE design environment
Ability to storyboard
Lesson and curriculum planning skills
Strong proficiency with industry standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Storyline and Captivate or Articulate)
Strong project management and leadership skills to achieve design target timelines
Knowledge & application of adult learning principles
Strong interpersonal skills in both client interactions and team interactions and a willingness to interact with clients on a regular basis
Experience taking, creating, or administering online asynchronous training
Formal training in instructional design and/or adult learning
Experience developing and conducting instructor-led training, either live or via webcast
Experience with learning experience design LXD including developing, and delivering emerging learning solutions including game-based learning, video, micro-learning, simulations, and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements strongly preferred.
Proven experience writing video and/or audio scripts as well as instructional text and courses.
