Sr Consultant - Client Onboarding (Finance)
The Global Fund Services (GFS), North America New Business Team is responsible for supporting prospect opportunities for registered mutual funds; collective investment/group trusts; and partnership vehicles. The team collaborates with various functional groups across the bank in order to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for our clients.
A Client Onboarding Consultant is responsible for coordinating with clients, sales, relationship managers, prior administrators and all necessary operations groups to transition a new GFS client within agreed upon timelines and service level agreements. The Client Onboarding Consultant plays an active role in understanding the onboarding process and possesses a broad understanding of operational areas to oversee new business implementations. Consultants should proactively manage projects to ensure a positive client experience.
Primary Responsibilities
•Serve as new business lead for Transfer Agency, Partnership Servicing, and Partnership Accounting client implementation.
•Manage master project plans, ensuring all milestones, tasks, and dates are accurately reflected.
•Provide oversight of TA/PS/PA related activities to refine subproject plans and ensuring projects are on track.
•Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders and gather information needed to complete business requirements and procedures.
•Draft RFP responses and assist in determining accurate costing of services.
•As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
•Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult
•Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities
•Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management
Required Knowledge/Skills
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•In-depth knowledge of Transfer Agency, Partnership Servicing, Partnership Accounting, and their respective operating platforms (FIS TA and HedgeTek).
•Analytical and problem solving skills
•Ability to operate independently while functioning as part of a larger group and escalating issues and concerns when appropriate.
•The ability to multitask and prioritize ongoing projects and initiatives against day-to-day inquiries and issues.
Qualifications
•Minimum 5 years industry experience within financial services industry.
•A College or University degree preferred
•Transitions, new account handling, or other client service work experience is required.
•Strong project management skills and operations knowledge are required.
