Job Description Summary:
Coordinate, Implement, and Monitor the Corporate Safety Programs at various project locations
Job Description:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
ï,• Able to perform all duties of Safety Representative
ï,• Provide training and education programs to Company personnel
ï,• Organize pre-job safety planning meetings to plan for potential hazards and problems prior to start of job
ï,• Inspect jobsites to ensure Company Safety Program and OSHA compliance
ï,• Provide emergency response plans for projects
ï,• Arrange for basic first aid training for jobsite personnel
ï,• Investigate and analyze bodily injury and property damage accidents
ï,• Coordinate project safety programs with subcontractors
ï,• Compile and issue regular accident report summaries
ï,• Provide updated information to employees regarding safety requirements update or changes
ï,• Assist with weekly foremens and monthly superintendents safety meetings
ï,• Identify and handle project management personnel needing assistance, training, or discipline in meeting Corporate Safety guidelines and goals
ï,• Complete other responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
ï,• Safety certification as CSP, ASP, CSP, OSHT, or CIH desired
ï,• BS in safety or equivalent
ï,• 5 years experience in safety or safety related field
ï,• Thorough knowledge of OSHA Construction Regulations
ï,• Ability to evaluate construction work activities with respect to safety and loss control
ï,• Ability to recognize and analyze Company trends with respect to Company accidents
ï,• Ability to recognize training needs and develop training in safety
ï,• Computer skills, i.e. Word, Power Point
ï,• Presentation skills
