Middleware Engineer (Remote or Hybrid) (Biotech)

Lands' End is looking for a Middleware Engineer who will work with oversight capabilities for middleware solutions and infrastructure. Primary duties will include directional leadership, with knowledge and understanding of technologies utilized across the middleware realm like: Cloud Infrastructure and Usage, Messaging, Extract Transformation and Load (ETL), Enterprise Scheduling, Enterprise Service Bus, Integration Processing, Monitoring, Application Servers, File Transfer, and other related technologies. Within this role you will be working in various project efforts and with cross-functional teams to design, develop, install, tune, and provide maintenance of middleware applications. Assistance with provisioning platforms and infrastructure with middleware solutions. Forecasting and capacity planning along with foresight and understanding on technology directions will be fully utilized.
To be a successful candidate, you will need to have leadership capabilities along with broad knowledge of various applications and technologies. You will need to be able to install, configure, test, support, monitor, and troubleshoot software and applications using middleware technologies. You will be working with team members on middleware software and technologies, helping maintain a stable and consistent environment and establishing best practices for planning and support of these technologies. You will also want a strong understanding of middleware technologies, knowing industry directions along with strengths and weaknesses with on-premises or cloud deployments.
As a Middleware Engineer, you should be able to act as a primary point of contact for middleware technologies across the enterprise. These include but are not limited to; Messaging, Integration, Identity Management, File Transfer, ETL, Service Bus, etc. You may provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in areas of specialization and drive middleware service improvement programs. You will also ensure adherence to quality and security standards defined for the engagement Perform Trend analysis, identify top incidents and work with respective teams and individuals to minimize these. Finally, you will provide estimation and reviews on an as-needed basis for new projects.
