Supply Activity Analyst (Finance)



Job Description:

Represent the Supply department on Activity Teams to ensure success in implementing product activities at the manufacturing sites and through the distribution network. Project management lead for the Supply team from launch through closure - manage project timeline, deliverables, total cost impact, and after-action reviews.

Ensure proper IT systems data set-up is completed to allow for error free start up and transition of products. Manage communication of project information between the activity teams, manufacturing sites, and central supply teams - keeping stakeholders informed of all milestone dates, scope changes, and expected changes to their operations.

What are we looking for?

  • BS / BA Business, Economics, Supply Chain or related field
  • 3+ years of business experience (Supply Chain or manufacturing preferred)
  • Experience managing projects through a series of milestones and working on cross-functional teams.
  • Experience developing and presenting Excel and PowerPoint files for meetings.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Ensure product data is properly set-up within the Mars Petcare product information systems and that the plants have all required information and systems set-up to run product, ship product through the network and fulfill orders placed by customers.
  • Confirm with Commercial and Inbound Logistics that all packaging and ingredient information is updated and ready for release to the plants. Work with plants to verify that product structures are set-up, ingredients and packs are able to be received and recipes are loaded. Confirm with Supply planning that all planning systems are set-up to plan and schedule new or transitioning items.
  • Maintain Item restrictions and customer-specific set-ups, with alignment from Sales Planning and Customer Supply.
  • Manage the supply chain timeline to make the most efficient use of materials, packaging, warehousing and transportation spend when launching new products, transitioning existing products, and discontinuing others. Solutions should balance the need for excellent service while minimizing cost.
  • Monitor packaging run-out reports to minimize the cost of obsolete materials created by activities. Based on info from Commercial, Inbound and Planners, negotiate transition dates and processes with project stakeholders to achieve the goal of excellent service at the desired cost.
  • Monitor distribution plans and execution dates to manage service levels at or above targets for the first 6-weeks of an activity launch. Ensure Supply is on-time against all SLA's and commitments on all activities.
