Math and Literacy Specialist (CFCSD) (Finance)
Design and implement math and literacy lesson plans.
Communicate with the YMCA and school personnel and parents of children regarding reading levels and rate of progress.
Comply with all ODJFS state licensing, Step Up to Quality, and YMCA and school district standards for all programs.
Gather and compile data; and link that data to student learning and instruction and success.
Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
Work with other Youth Enrichment Director and other staff members to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to the district requirements.
Implement the use of technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits.
Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of the YMCA and the school district.
Manage student behavior in accordance with YMCA policies.
Assist in selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials.
Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
Attend and participate in YMCA meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
Previous experience working in a classroom setting.
Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
ODJFS: Must qualify under ODJFS stipulations to be a site administrator, Career Pathways Level (CPL) 3 and/or School Age Endorsement Certification required
Certifications in CPR, First Aid, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse Prevention are required to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Must maintain professionalism and have strong communication, organization and administrative skills

Must be flexible and take initiative as well as maintain a positive and professional attitude
