New Business Development Manager (Sales)
New Business Development Manager will be responsible for delivering an individual annual revenue assignment through independent prospecting, lead qualification, and closing new business for MOTOR's light duty data licensing business within North America. It is expected that this person is a “sales hunter” as opposed to a “farmer”. Travel of 10% - 20% per year is expected within the territory for quarterly business reviews, Industry Conferences, client and prospect meetings. Our candidate should be proficient with internet research and have an investigative mindset to hunt and identify new business opportunities for MOTOR National Account Sales.
Essential job functions and responsibilities
Responsible for proposing and closing data licensing contracts that will achieve total annual revenue targets.
Target, identify, qualify, and close new logo customers for light duty data licensing (DaaS, SaaS).
Develops and implements a territory plan that is consistent with short range and long-range sales goals for the business
Demonstrated sales forecasting capability in reaching quarterly and annual targets.
Maintain sufficient knowledge of the light duty automotive market and technology products.
Keep well informed on industry changes, participates where possible in conferences or organizations directly involved within our market, and continually works to improve sales techniques and sales knowledge.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business or related area.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales
Will have consistently achieved assigned quota or revenue goals in past roles.
Automotive technology and/or data licensing experience preferred but not required
Demonstrated ability using CRM tools like Salesforce.com.
Expertise and historical use of Microsoft suite offering including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to work independently without a large support structure.
Ability to travel regularly within the US
Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
Presentation skills, executive presence and domain credibility essential.
Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
