Director of Grant Compliance (Finance)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following, other duties may be assigned:

Thinks, communicates and behaves as a cause-driven leader and role model for other staff and members when it comes to desired staff behaviors; promotes youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in all job-related functions

Oversees grant and contract compliance, including invoice review, documentation standards, and timely reporting to funders and regulatory agencies.

Leads the implementation and continuous improvement of organizational policies and procedures related to regulatory and grant compliance.

Audits documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to funder requirements.

Supports the development and delivery of staff training on data, financial and grant compliance, documentation practices, and system usage to ensure consistent implementation across departments.

Guides the data analyst in the development, monitoring, and communication of organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strategic plan metrics. Ensures metrics are integrated into compliance reporting and inform decision-making. Reviews and ensures accuracy of data dashboards.

Monitors evolving regulations and industry standards, ensuring YMCA practices remain current and in full compliance. Trains and support analysts and programs on updates.

Creates variance reports and communicates to the program. Collects information on budget changes. Creates reallocation requests for funders that are in compliance with grant eligibility.

Works in shared partnership with data and finance teams to align compliance efforts with financial accuracy and data integrity, ensuring our impact is effectively measured, reported, and understood across the organization

Adheres to policies related to boundaries with youth. Participates in required abuse risk management training. Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors. Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements. Adheres to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees a team of a grant accountant and data analyst. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
