QC Inventory Technician 2 (Finance)



The quality technician will work as part of the Reagent QC team to support Reagent QC operations. The Reagent QC team oversees the test and releases Illumina reagents in a fast-paced, GMP regulated environment. The individual will work on a team responsible for delivering QC samples, maintaining stock of consumables in the lab, and overseeing the shipping and receiving of QC sample. The individual will also be responsible for collaborating with QC Analysts to optimize laboratory inventory processes, as well as maintain a strong working relationship with supply chain and other partner organizations.  

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver samples for QC testing

  • Maintains health of laboratory inventory by pulling Kanban cards, ordering materials, and expediting urgent requests 

  • Coordinates with supply chain team to optimize inventory system

  • Attends and participate in team meetings.

  • Prepare and ship samples for offsite QC Testing. 

  • Support nonconforming material investigations. 

  • Receives, delivers and/or stages ordered materials to lab users.

  • Owns and maintains receiving bay.

  • May perform other duties as necessary

  • May include other duties as defined by the department Manager

Requirements:

  • Experience with inventory management preferred

  • Knowledge of ISO and FDA requirements preferred.

  • Experience with a Material Resource Planning system good to have. 

  • Good communication and writing skills. 

  • Proficient using computers including Microsoft office programs: Word, Excel, etc. 

  • Must be detailed oriented, organized, and able to work independently and in teams.

Experience/Education:

  • Typically, requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience

  • High School Diploma required
