Water Engineer Fall 2025 Co-op (Finance)

Role description:

Arcadis is searching for a Water Engineering Co-op / Intern to support our team in Philadelphia, PA for the Fall 2025 (September 22, 2025-March 27, 2026) term.

Working with Professional Engineers, you will perform assignments designed to utilize and develop professional engineering skills and knowledge significant in the field.

Role accountabilities:

  • Water / wastewater / storm water treatment and conveyance including planning, process evaluations, detailed design and construction administration.
  • Supporting project planning, project design, permitting and construction administration activities, developing design reports and construction documents for stormwater, green infrastructure and low impact design effort
  • Field work such as site visits and field investigations.
  • Participate and assist in presentations, client meetings and field interaction with clients and subcontractors.
  • Work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously

Desired attributes:
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Prior experience with stormwater, green infrastructure, low impact design, and/or construction
  • Experience with AutoCAD or GIS
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple assignments and activities to meet project deadlines
  • Physical ability to perform field investigations.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to successfully work both independently and within a team
  • Flexible attitude towards assignments, possessing the initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program for Civil or Environmental Engineering, or another relevant engineering field

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in Consulting Engineering, Municipal work, or Construction
  • Experience/training with AutoCAD or GIS
  • Experience/training with modeling software tools like HydroCAD or StormCAD
  • Active membership/leadership in environmental and/or engineering professional societies

Arcadis offers benefits for part-time, as-needed positions. These benefits include EAP, 401K, and optional well-being benefits. The salary range for this position is $18.30-$33.30/ hr. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
