EHS Specialist (Finance)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead EHS and manufacturing teams in identifying and correcting hazards in the workplaceCollect quarterly storm water samples and conduct storm water inspectionsInspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements, and maintain reporting accordingly Design and implement workplace processes and procedures as needed Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their root cause and to provide support to corrective actions to prevent accident/incidents from occurring Develop and conduct employee training on EHS aspects Work with production and engineering teams to drive safe manufacturing practices, tool selection, and develop efficient safe processes that promote best in class manufacturing Maintaining chemical inventories, secondary labels, and hazard communication
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelors degree in occupational health, safety or related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Computer Skills: Skilled with MS Office suite and working knowledge of REBA and NIOSH Lifting Equation methods and tools for ergonomic analysis.
Certificates & Licenses:
Other Requirements: Detail-oriented and a high level of problem-solving skills. Skill in performing safety inspections and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
