QA Supervisor, Raw Materials (Biotech)

The Quality Assurance Raw Material Supervisor leads a team of QA Raw Material Specialists as they support internal and external customers for material disposition, release issue resolution, and other material related work as needed.  The supervisor is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in material receipt, testing, and disposition process, this person is expected to: prioritize team's work, resolve complex issues, triage issues for escalation to area management. The Supervisor provides resolution to escalated issues within their area of responsibility and helps define the solutions for remediation of escalations/issues and improvements efforts.  The Supervisor may also be required to perform associated SAP transactions as part of the release as well as other Quality functions within SAP.  

Key responsibilities:

• Leads a team of Quality Specialists by providing training, mentoring, development, and accountability
• Sets delegation of assignments and timelines
• Makes decisions associated with material disposition and release and escalates issues to Sr QA as required
• Identifies team goals; manages and tracks team performance indicators
• Review and approve various material specific documents as well as various quality documents such as Vendor Change Notifications, Deviation Reports, Part Number Requests and Change Controls
• Support Customer and/or Regulatory audits and inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned.
