Facilities Maintenance Technician Sr. (Construction)
Position Description:
The purpose of the position is to ensure that all properties are maintained to provide clean, safe, efficient, environmentally healthy and structurally sound facilities that offer staff and members the best possible atmosphere to conduct business. Responsibilities include performing troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs on buildings, HVAC systems, fire systems, furnishings, corporate vehicles, grounds maintenance and equipment maintenance. Performs inspections and provides recommendations for preventive maintenance and modifications, coordinates assigned activities with contractors, other centers or departments. Works with contractors and vendors to validate that work is completed as committed, and are consistent with service level agreements (SLA). Assist vendors in the completion of projects as required.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on mechanical systems, facilities, grounds, equipment and vehicles.
Minimum Formal Education Required for this Position:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum work experience:
4+ years' experience in an industrial, commercial, or facilities operations setting

Environmental, physical and psychological requirements:
Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying extremes of heat, cold, or other environmental factors. Work area may contain potential environmental hazards (dust, debris, project materials, etc.). Awareness of work area conditions at all times to ensure proper equipment is used/ safety procedures are followed is critical. Must be comfortable climbing to and working at building roof heights on scaffolding, ladders, or other specialized equipment. Must be able to use fingers, hands, wrists for repetitive tasks such as typing, using small hand tools, and operating a telephone. Demands for visual and auditory acuity are typical of a construction environment – must be able to see fine detail and make precision adjustments or material modifications using hand tools. Must be able to interact via email, telephone, or in person with diplomacy, tact, and courtesy with internal/external customers or vendors under varying circumstances. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle to multiple locations daily as situations emerge.
Starting hourly rate is at $19.73+
