DESCRIPTION
As a part of our Construction Services Team, the Senior Inspector - Aviation Construction will supervise the planning, coordination and implementation of construction projects relating to airfields at Westchester County Airport or regional airports, as needed. The types of projects vary ranging from constructing taxiways and runways to the development of roads and highways at the airports. The Senior Inspector will work closely with the Resident Engineer to ensure projects adhere to all plans and regulations and that safety measures are appropriately taken.
As a Senior Inspector, you will coordinate with engineers, airport owners, airlines and contractors as necessary to ensure projects are completed safely in accordance with the contract documents, on-time and within project budgets. The ability to prepare clear, concise and complete reports observing construction is a requirement. These reports include: correspondence, meeting notes, individual daily reports, summary of quantities, documentation for change orders, supplemental agreements and project closeout documents. Other responsibilities of the job include the following:
