Staff Civil Engineer (Finance)

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to support an expanding portfolio of permitting, design and construction projects across the U.S. The scope of services provided to our client include collaborating with multiple disciplines, including civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering, navigating regulatory requirements, and corresponding with client contacts.

Role accountabilities:

  • Manage scope, schedule and deliverables for numerous projects across the U.S.
  • Plan assigned project work and allocate work to ensure timely delivery and effective utilization of resources.
  • Perform work independently with senior oversight and review.
  • Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design or solution.
  • Monitor the performance of team members and subcontractors, identifying and ensuring the resolution of any issues.
  • Review and quality-assure project deliverables (e.g., drawings, reports, specifications, etc) to ensure they meet or exceed client expectations as well as Arcadis requirements, and they comply with national standards and codes of practice.
  • Develop permit/construction-level drawings and details, and technical specifications.
  • Prepare civil and environmental permitting packages.
  • Field opportunities, such as, contractor oversight, site walks, and site inspections
  • Evaluate/estimate construction costs and track budgets.
  • Office-based support of active construction projects (e.g., submittal reviews, field change documentation, site layout information)
  • Prepare presentations in the client's format and to their specifications.
  • Present the data to the client at a high-level (key metrics) while understanding the influence of the underlying variables.
  • Focus on providing the highest level of client satisfaction through delivery of quality services.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Advanced research, data gathering, and analysis skills
  • Effective technical, project management, and client relationship management skills
  • Effective communication, problem solving, and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant national standards and codes of practice
  • Familiarity with federal and state permitting requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 to 7 years of previous work experience (internship or full-time experience in civil or environmental consulting or related field)
  • Hold or pursuing Engineer in Training (EIT) certification; actively working towards Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software

Arcadis offers benefits for full time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401K plan, STD and LTD, and Life Insurance as well as some additional optional benefits.
Full time positions also come with annual PTO days and at certain levels a bonus program may apply.
The Salary range for this role is $94,694-146,754 for Colorado based positions only.
Other locations will vary in salary range.
