POSITION SUMMARY
Provides support to service manager on overall responsibility of Service Department including technical support and scheduling of shop work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise 8 to 15 employees in the Service department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
COMMUNICATION
Good communication skills with customers, management, employees and other departments is of the utmost importance. Must keep customers advised of job costs and completion dates. Coordinate work between shops to ensure customer expectations for time and costs are met. Keep management advised of needed tooling, repairs, etc.
