Privacy and Compliance Specialist (Hybrid) (Finance)

Position Title: Privacy and Compliance Specialist

Location: Minneapolis, MN/ Hybrid (2 days per week)

A Day in the Life

  • Assist in the development, execution, and maintenance of corporate compliance policies and programs: anti-corruption, privacy, conflicts of interest, enterprise risk management, and anti-trust.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of the company's global privacy program, including data processing activity assessments, complaint handling, data subject requests, and incident response in accordance with internal procedures and applicable laws.
  • Monitor and support anti-corruption compliance efforts, including third-party due diligence and documentation of interactions with healthcare professionals and government officials.
  • Provide guidance on compliance-related inquiries in collaboration with Legal, HR, IT, and various business partners to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Assist in the facilitation of the enterprise risk assessment and the risk and compliance governance committee.
  • Manage company policy portal and facilitate the periodic review of compliance related policies.
  • Develop training materials, presentations, and compliance awareness campaigns; track participation and completion records.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to ensure adherence to company policies and requirements.

Must Have

 

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Nice to Have

  • Strong interest in privacy, data protection, and anti-corruption compliance.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent organization and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive and ownership mentality to progress on ambiguous problems and see them through to resolution
  • Integrity, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
  • Experience working in highly dynamic cross-functional and global teams
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, FCPA, and MedTech Europe Code.
  • Multilingual capabilities or international experience.
  • Proficiency with compliance monitoring software, risk assessment tools, training software, such as Smartsheet, MedCompli, Articulate, and PowerBI
