TOP SECRET Opportunity. Looking to gain more experience and shape strategic issues in a fast moving Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) portfolio? This position is a unique opportunity to apply your intellectual curiosity, innovation, knowledge, and skills in supporting the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (AF/A10) in the area of CWMD.
Analyst will assist customer and senior mentor in informing and developing AF-wide Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) CWMD solutions and capabilities
Analyst will provide support to analyze, interpret, and integrate National and DoD Strategy-Level Planning Documents into effective AF policies, procedures, and guidance relating to CWMD operations. In support of the development of AF strategy and policy, the analyst will make recommendations for AF consideration and provide support in the implementation of those solutions.
Analyst will review and analyze the associated tasks to determine required AF/A10 action; coordinate and circulate the documents to the appropriate offices for review; compile comments; resolve any related conflicts/inconsistencies; prepare and deliver briefings; and/or conduct hazard modeling and simulation (M&S) analysis
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
The successful applicant will support national security-level issues with the following or similar skill sets below to include, but not be limited to the following:
Familiar with the concepts of strategy doctrine, policy, guidance, programs, projects, operational research, analysis, and testing of major strategic programs
Experience in developing policy and doctrine for major National or DoD programs.
Experience in performing analysis of items of interest by the operational commands, Air Staff, Services, DoD Components, and other Federal Agencies to assess AF equities for operational use.
Familiar with characterizing and operationally assess the full range of threat agents, delivery means, release mechanisms, and release environments for CBRN weapons.
Experience in research and analysis of policy and technical issues associated with countering threats from chemical and biological weapons or similar programs
Familiar with leveraging S&T and research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) to refine hazards, reduce risk, and demonstrate capabilities
EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree, experience in CWMD or similar area, requirements may be substituted by additional years of experience or advanced degree.
