Personnel Security Specialist-Mid level (Government)

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
ANSER is seeking knowledgeable and experienced Mid-level Personnel Security Specialists to assist with personnel security background investigations and adjudication case work in support of security and suitability investigations and adjudications and other assigned security related activities. Specific duties may include but are not limited to:
Provide direct support to the completion of security assessment investigations and render the appropriate adjudication recommendations regarding the same; conduct, review and analyze a variety of interviews internal and external to the organization
Provide support, analysis, and research into complex problems and processes relating to Personal Security
Complete written reports and/or oral presentations utilizing critical thinking and analysis skills
Initiate or perform extensive personnel database checks, arrest record checks, and the like to obtain pertinent and identifying information for the cases assigned.
Request, receive, review and analyze various FBI Government files and related material for determination of an individual's potential security risk
Summarize data and compose necessary correspondence to appropriate FOs for initiation of investigation, outlining background of individual cases, advising of information obtained from research and analysis and define security concerns
Conduct Personnel Security Interviews as determined during the course of the security investigation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications
Current Top Secret security clearance and must be capable of obtaining SCI access that includes a requirement to pass a security CI polygraph exam
Experience interpreting Governmental and commercial database checks to identify areas of concern during the investigative process.
Experience analyzing investigative reports and other sources of information to propose recommendations as to the approval, denial, or revocation of eligibility for access to national security information based on the application of the appropriate adjudicative standards
Desired Experience
Knowledge of DOJ and FBI regulations regarding the personnel security process.
Experience conducting interviews and security briefings and discussing analysis and opinion in a concise, logical and objective manner
Experience preparing written communications setting forth analyses and recommendations.
Thorough knowledge of the indices systems, various record check systems, and file review processes to develop the most accurate information relative to the subject as possible
EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in any field of study
