~ The Assistant Manager, Pricing will support the pricing team with various monthly and management reports as well as important operational pricing activities for the entire Hyundai model portfolio
~ Support the pricing team to analyze Hyundai's competitive environment and assist creating insightful pricing recommendations and support documents customized specifically to each model's unique market circumstances
~ Gather, interpret and analyze and provide data for ad-hoc pricing strategy-related requests
~ Conduct data runs and queries in mTAB and other software tools using various secondary sources including: Autoknowledge, AutoPlanner, IHS, Experian, Maritz, AutoPacific, JD Power PIN, Wards, etc.
~ Maintain monthly pricing report and various KPI that are used during monthly executive meetings
~ Maintain latest value analysis for all models completed once a quarter and maintain price structure report which reflects the latest pricing approvals
~ Implement pricing by working with internal departments to input pricing into the system and announce to dealers.
~ Assist pricing related consulting engagements, residual forecasting, new model price/product events, etc…to maximize residual value, improve 3rd party perception of all Hyundai models and communicate model pricing and value position within the segment
~ Post pricing announcements to Sharedpoint and Hyundaidealer.com
~ Input pricing data into BLS
~ Develop dealer price sheets/DCS, External Product Guides, ALG residual summary
~ Oversee the development and execution of departmental budget; including PR's, accruals, and payments.
~ Pricing has the authority to access all relevant cost, product spec, and plans to effectively develop pricing recommendations for executive approval. Additionally, Pricing is authorized to recommend pricing levels based on supporting analysis of forecasted volume levels, competitive practice, planned incentive spend, margin and revenue requirements, sales efficiency, etc. Collectively, this authority has a direct impact on company/dealer profitability and sales effectiveness. Additionally, Pricing is authorized to input pricing into SAP.
~ Bachelor's degree preferred
~ Master's degree a plus
~ Five to six years of relevant experience, of which at least three years is directly related experience with an automotive manufacturer or distributor.
~ Knowledge of the automotive industry, competitive landscapes, and an understanding of pricing strategy
~ Strong quantitative analytical skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, SAP, and ability to grasp new
concepts, large databases and proprietary software.
~ Demonstrated project management skills.
~ Ability to work on multiple projects and set priorities.
~ Strong written and oral communication skills.
~ Normal office duties
