Purpose:
~ Identify partnerships and strategic initiatives to highlight Hyundai environmental products and technologies
~ Create and implement initiatives with key partners with the purpose of elevating Hyundai's environmental/green image and opinion among consumers
~ Develop long-term strategic partnerships that will ultimately support increased awareness and sales for Hyundai/Genesis electrified products
Major Responsibilities:
~ Strategic Alignment of HMC and HMA Environmental Objectives with Partnership Opportunities
~ Clearly understand goals of HMC/HMA in the areas of Eco/Environmental leadership to identify opportunities that will support these goals with strategic partnerships
~ Develop comprehensive strategies and work plans for initiatives that support Hyundai's strategic goals in the space of eco-technology and environmental leadership
~ Work closely with Product Strategy / Regulatory Compliance team to understand priorities in development of EV/FCEV strategies and plans
~ Partner Identification and Engagement - Identification and Outreach to Potential Strategic Partners
~ Active outreach to potential partners for initiatives that feature Hyundai/Genesis electrified products and demonstrate eco technology leadership
~ Lead networking efforts among other Hyundai affiliates, external private institutions, and public sector to identify business alignment opportunities and potential partners
~ Focus on private companies, government, municipalities, universities, etc.
~ Ensure partners are good strategic fits in terms of HMA/GMA objectives, brand goals, corporate goals
~ Identify initiatives/partners that will provide good opportunities for high consumer visibility and PR benefits
~ Seek out companies and/or institutions that hold products, services or capabilities that offer strategic partnership opportunities
~ Engage key groups within Hyundai for identification of potential partners – HMC, CRADLE, HATCI, etc.
~ Execute / Implement High-Profile Partnerships
~ Create compelling, specific, actionable proposals for partnerships that will highlight Hyundai/Genesis electrified products and technologies
~ Develop KPIs/key metrics for partnerships that measure impact for Hyundai
~ Present proposals to HMNA executives for approval
~ On-the-ground management/oversight of partnerships/initiatives
~ Close alignment with PR and Marketing to maximize initiative exposure for customers and media
~ Coordinate closely with HMA Sales (Fleet group) to transition partnerships into future sales opportunities
~ Engage key Hyundai dealers in initiatives as local partners that directly connect with Hyundai / Genesis customers
~ New Business Development (60%)
~ Lead the creation of compelling, specific and actionable business plans for new business lines and revenue streams that are in alignment with overall Hyundai objectives.
~ Development go-to-market strategies that take new businesses from minimum viable product launches to multi-year business model growth roadmaps.
~ Development of multi-year pro forma financial models with milestone KPIs to identify financial investment requirements as well as return on investments.
~ Effectively present business case to senior executives to garner acceptance to execute on business plans.
~ Execute business plans to launch new business lines and be responsible to deliver on milestone KPIs and ROI.
Authority:
~ Independently explore strategic partnership opportunities to highlight Hyundai / Genesis green technologies and make decisions on what initiatives to move forward.
~ Select strategic partners and outside resources to leverage in order to deliver project outcomes.
~ Outreach to potential partners, dealers, key groups within Hyundai
~ Development of proposals including timelines, budgets, KPIs, etc.
~ Management of multiple initiatives
Education:
~ Bachelor's degree required
~ Master's degree a plus
Related Experience:
~ Eight to ten years of OEM experience of which at least five years in a strategic role desired
~Three to five years of experience in planning and implementing strategic partnerships with outside partners
~ Three to five years of experience in the Environment Technology and Eco-Vehicle space.
~ Four to six years of supervisory experience desired.
Skill/Knowledge:
~ Excellent analytical skills - use both quantitative and qualitative data to create a broad, dynamic view of the
market and synthesize the underlying insights of the data.
~ Adept at identifying key consumer insights and developing them into actionable strategies.
~ Effective knowledge of automotive strategy and market research activities.
~ Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to influence a wide range of management levels, both inside and outside of HMA.
~ Proven track record presenting complex analyses in straightforward, digestible formats to influence executive decision-making.
~ Thorough computer skills, with proficiency in Powerpoint, Excel and MTAB.
~ Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects.
Physical requirements:
~ Normal office duties.
~ Must be able to present in front of large audiences.
~ Domestic and International Travel (~15%).
