Weeks Marine Inc
Corporate Environmental Specialist (Security)
Job Description
A Corporate Environmental Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining an environmental management program/system in accordance with organizational-wide and compliance requirements. In addition, the position will be responsible for interfacing and coordinating with local, state and federal agencies across all divisions of Weeks Marine, Inc. (WMI). In doing so, a Corporate Environmental Specialist will support the Corporate HSE Director and related divisional resources in the development of an integrated and aligned approach.
The short to mid-term priorities will be focused on the environmental permitting program, with a specific emphasis on further developing and aligning an organizational-wide approach to management, maintenance and oversight. While the role is also geared towards broader environmental management, this position is being advertised for the first time at Weeks Marine. Therefore, the requirements of the environmental management functions are likely to develop over time, as needed by the organization, specific divisions, and as defined by the role. Given the immediate priorities, it is necessary that applicants have a background in environmental permitting.
