Practice Innovation Intern (Legal)

Practice Innovation Intern
Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is looking for a Practice Innovation Intern for a 5-7 month internship within its growing Innovation Department. Katten's Innovation Team is charged with exploring and bringing forward new processes and technology to benefit the firm's clients, practices, and operations. It has introduced a number of new practice solutions and technologies to the firm and also worked with clients in their development and use on a regular basis.
We are looking for motivated rising 2Ls in the summer/fall of 2022 who have an eye toward the future of the practice of law, including increasing leverage of technology, collaboration, data management, and creative solutions. Interest in AI, data management, and coding is a plus, but not required. Our intern will be assigned to a number of projects that will have exposure to our attorneys at all levels. The intern will run projects around our initiatives and become an advocate for change within our firm and with our clients.
While the entirety of the Innovation Team is based in the Chicago office, in the spirit of embracing remote work and flexibility, we have the ability to base this position in any Katten office location (Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York or Washington D.C.). The summer work will be a full-time position, while the fall work will be a mutually agreed upon part-time schedule given law school commitments. Katten is currently working remote at this time. After the office reopens, Katten will offer the opportunity to work from home with occasional office presence required (KattenFlex).
We expect the starting date to be in May or early June, 2022.
