Summary:
The enterprise architecture group at Northern Trust operates as a small internal consultancy. Our approach to improving architecture is collaborative, and we believe that collaboration across organizational units is essential to establishing the kinds of mutual understanding that are required for success, especially when making long-term architecture decisions.
The governance and guidance processes that we provide are both consultative and mutually beneficial. Enterprise architects learn and grow through consulting engagements and through coaching application or solution architects through preparing for governance. Enterprise architects are leaders of initiatives and thought leaders in specific architecture domains and technological constructs and practices. Enterprise architects are required to be both mavens and connectors, bringing their expertise along with their organizational knowledge and network into every conversation and engagement. Our team is a small horizontal enabler in an organization of significantly larger business aligned vertical technology delivery organizations along with horizontal infosec and infrastructure groups, so working across other technology or business groups is essential to our success.
We are looking for someone with a developing leadership trajectory to join our team and to continue to grow in expertise and leadership. We are looking for generalists that can fill a specific expertise gap in our team:
