Marketing Intern

Description | Basic Function & Purpose | What is this role

 

The Marketing Intern is a key player in supporting the Professional Tools Marketing team. The candidate will support the Director of Digital Strategy & Marketing Operations in a broad range of projects and responsibilities focused on growing business with all channels and building our brands, including: digital marketing; product launch support; marketing events; sales support development; content management; project planning and management; various other tasks as requested by management.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with Marketing, Sales, and Product Management group to become versed in the RIDGID and Greenlee product lines, distribution channels and product applications.
  • Assist the Director in modeling and managing project tracking and prioritization.   
  • Content Management: The Marketing Intern will work with various internal and external stakeholders to audit, prioritize, and manage updates of marketing content. For the internship, content refers to storytelling, digital imagery, product attributes and web information.
  • Assist with the development of market research, including data collection, surveys, analytics, business implications and commendations.
  • Identify and develop marketing process improvements.
  • Provide support in campaign planning, development, and accurate execution for the marketing team.
  • Work in conjunction with internal production team and external resources to create marketing content to support a wide range initiatives.
  •  Lead and manage special projects as assigned.

Skills / Requirements

 

  • Junior, Senior, or graduate student in Marketing, Communications or Business Administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proofreading, copy editing.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates ability to work on assigned tasks independently.
  • Integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
