Account Supervisor (Marketing)

J. Walter Thompson Atlanta is seeking an Account Supervisor. The Account Supervisor acts as the primary client contact on day-to-day program development and execution for larger/more complex programs. Additionally, the Account Supervisor is responsible for
Client Relations
• May develop or assist account leader(s) in preparing and delivering client presentations and recommendations
• Works with senior Account Management team to promote organic growth within the business, leveraging agency capabilities and services
•Takes and understands a client brief and is able to put forward recommendations
• Understands client health, identifies opportunities and dependencies from one project to another
• Successful track record of building client relationships
• Ability to successfully organize, manage and deliver a diverse range of activities
• Understanding of our Client's customers, competitors, marketplace and business challenges
• A consultative, conscientious and rigorous approach to increase out client's competitive advantage
Strategy and Planning
• Works with senior team members, helping to guide strategy on a program or tactical level. Expands on guidelines and instructions provided by senior team to enhance the program strategically and at a tactical level
• Ensures agency output meets strategic and business objectives, as outlined in the Creative Brief and/or other related strategy documents
• Assists clients in staying true to the Creative Brief, by measuring their feedback against agreed-upon strategy and engaging with client on this level, both independently and in conjunction with senior team members, if necessary
• Reviews program results, research findings, segmentation data, competitive activity, et cetera, with Account Management and other strategic partners across departments (Marketing Intelligence, Insights and Innovation) to identify marketing refinements and opportunities
• Researches and updates team on current industry news related to experience, engagement, relationship or digital marketing or client projects
•Maintains overall knowledge in all agency disciplines in how they can be leveraged to help met client objectives and strategies
Project Management
• For larger/more complex programs, takes ownership and proactively coordinates and organizes efforts among departments, leveraging junior Client Management staff as appropriate
• Ensures quality control by reviewing agency products including: creative work, financial analyses, key client communications, key schedules, creative strategies and strategic decks
• Assists with day-to-day account problem solving by providing guidance to junior team and raising issues and solutions to senior team
Financial Management
• For larger/more complex programs, takes ownership and proactively coordinates and organizes efforts among departments, leveraging junior Client Management staff as appropriate
• Works with Project Management team for project budget management process, to influence development and management of budget to ensure they are not exceeded
• Exemplifies fiscal responsibility by adhering to agency and client expense management and staffing policies and procedures
• Responsible for budget and financial management for mid-level proejcts
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of five years of related advertising/marketing experience (either client or agency), or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• One or more years of supervisory experience
• Competency in Microsoft Office, internet environments and industry-standard software programs
• Proven ability to work independently on project execution, taking ownership with supervision as necessary
• Comprehensive understanding of relationship marketing techniques and how they are utilized to deliver client objectives
• Superior organization and prioritization skills across multiple projects simultaneously, with ability to meet high standards for quality and accuracy under tight deadlines
• Superior communication skills, including but not limited to: writing long- and short-form formats, presenting projects and listening to clients and working associates
