Lifeguard - Association Wide (Finance)
16 years of age or older.
Must pass a swim test and skills assessment
Completion of lifeguard training (we offer lifeguard training).
Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.
Available to work shifts.
Physically fit, strong, agile and dexterous.
Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration certification.
LIFEGUARD RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overseeing activities at aquatic facilities.
Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations and policies in a professional manner, to ensure safety of patrons.
Maintain constant surveillance of pool area using systematic scanning techniques while maintaining a rescue ready position.
Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger.
Warning swimmers regarding unsafe situations.
Maintaining order in swimming areas.
Responding to emergencies and rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning.
Performing first aid procedures.
Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of all areas.
Maintaining records and reports.
Maintain compliance with the Association In-Service Policy.
