Director Medicare Marketing (Marketing)

We are a group of Medicare marketing professionals looking for a consumer-centric marketing champion that will contribute to our culture of high-energy, talented, innovation and collaboration.  The ideal candidate will have a track record of driving success in a heavily regulated industry through team building and partnerships.  We are seeking a data-driven, storyteller with strong digital acumen and an inherent focus on delivering results.  Someone that can think outside of the box but inside of the rules, spearheading a balanced approach of leading edged, experimentation and efficiently manage steady state tactics across multiple marketing channels and audience stakeholders.

The position maintains primary responsibility for overall marketing and communications for Medicare markets.  This includes strategy development, planning and execution of all Medicare marketing efforts, management of advertising and communication vendors both internally and externally and the development and management of marketing budget. 

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee staff in the development of comprehensive, omnichannel marketing strategy, plans and tactics focused on achieving short- and long-term growth objectives from both an acquisition, retention and member experience standpoint.
  • Drive digital strategy for customer traffic and engagement across all domains (pre and post authentication).  Including responsibility for positively impacting conversion and ROI for all digital marketing channels, including Paid Search, Paid Social, Email, Affiliate, SEO and Retargeting programs. 
  • Manage digital as both a direct conversion and influencer channel to achieve overall business goals.
  • Direct a team of associates responsible for acquisition, retention/member communications and community development responsibilities. 
  • Also manage internal support resources and external vendor resources. 
  • Ensure campaigns and materials are produced and delivered within budget and in accordance with all associated regulations both state and federal.
  • Serve as key partner and internal marketing consultant/expert for our Sales Directors, Medicare Stars and Product team. 
  • Develop unique marketing plans and tactics in support of various product lines and sales channels.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of CRM platform and campaign tools. 
  • Lead the design of campaigns in order to test and learn new customer segmentation strategies.  
  • Partnering with Informatics and Sales Enablement to meet objectives.
  • Manage promotional strategy and lead strategic promotional programs. Responsible to review analysis and recommendations
  • Manage marketing budgeting, and forecasting process, as well as monthly/weekly/daily forecasting and reporting for traffic, revenue, spend, ROI and other performance KPIs.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field/equivalent experience; master's degree preferred.
  • Combination of B2B and DTC experience preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years progressive marketing experience in a health, managed care or related organization to similar level of accountability.
  • Medicare experience highly preferred. 
  • Experience in a heavily regulated industry required.
  • Excellent team building/leadership skills required as well as being an excellent communicator both written and verbal.  Must excel at organizing and presenting a business case.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.  Strong eye for details.
  • Comfortability with Tableau analytics, CRM solutions, Campaign management platforms (Adobe, Hubspot, etc), Google analytics, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Power Point required.
