InSinkErator, the world's largestmanufacturer of disposers and hot water dispensers, is currently seekingexperienced Electricians to work in its Racine, WI manufacturing plant.
The Electrician providesfunctional support to install and maintain electrical work on plant electricalsystems and equipment. Responsible for work on substation, wiringcircuits, distribution centers, control panels, electronic devices, etc.
This is a Safety Sensitiveposition. Employees in this classification will be included on the listof employees who may be randomly screened under our Substance Abuse policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
Install and maintain electrical workon plant electrical systems and equipment with minimum supervision, using abroad knowledge of applied trade practices and technique. The use ofladders, raised platforms, caged lifts, and manual climbing on equipment atvarious heights up to and including 35 feet is required
Plan, layout and install complexwiring circuits and distribution centers in conformance with established codes,install switches and controls, central subsidiary control panels, electronicdevices and all other duties incidental to installation
Maintain substation; diagnose andremedy all electrical, electronic and mechanical troubles
Work from wiring, hydraulic, pneumaticschematic drawings and code book
Use all electrical measuring andtesting devices
May direct and layout work forelectricians of lower classification
Work from general assignments andcomplete projects with little or no direct supervision
Complete all required paperwork,quality records, documents, etc.
Comply with all safety and workrules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards, andclean/restock area at end of shift

This position requires knowledge ofelectricity, electrical principles and practices, electrical circuits andcontrols, and electronic devices
This knowledge is usually acquiredthrough formal technical training supplemented by an accredited journeymanapprenticeship, plus four to five years of experience in diversified electricaloperations
Additional work experience maysubstitute for accredited journeyman status
Employee must be able to performmaintenance duties in full range of entire plant facility.

State of Wisconsin (WI) Licenserequired
Candidates with electricalexperience without a WI license must acquire a license within six (6) months ofthe first date of employment
Must possess a valid driver'slicense
