R&D Engineering Manager (Finance)
As an R&D Engineering Manager, you will be a key player on a team that conducts engineering efforts related to the development and production of Ultrasonic Products including design, test, prototype and evaluation.
What you can expect to do in the role:
This position is responsible for developing ultrasonic products for various regulated markets including sensors and surgical hand-pieces.
Will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for researching and developing products to meet the customer needs and our development procedure requirements.
This manager will work with upper management to determine long term product, skill, and organizational needs.
Support / Lead technology platform and IP development strategies.
Assure that the products are reliable and designed for manufacturability.
Provide leadership for ultrasonic subsystem design, verification, validation, and risk management of medical device components and coordinate internal and external design and test efforts. As part of the Leadership Team, assures achievement of KPI's, Strategic Objectives and Financial Plan for Salt Lake City Operations.
Set the engineering strategy and direction of the ultrasonic business and driving new product development, continuous improvement of existing products and processes.
Provide leadership for the development of ultrasonic subsystem problems that require sophisticated analysis or testing or sound engineering judgment and experience
Manage projects and activities in a multiple project environment to meet high demand schedules, cost targets and technical requirements of overall product or system.
Identifies and establishes departmental or program objectives and implement within company policies, and established procedures that are measureable such that outcomes can be quantified.
Drive innovation and create Intellectual Property (IP).
Functional leadership of the R&D Engineering team in accordance with Moog Values, including recruitment, team/talent coaching and development, skill set improvement, and mentoring to ensure high confidence in engineering results
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Engineering, Physics or Materials from an accredited University.
Minimum 5 to 8 years relevant work experience which included supervisory / management / leadership roles.
