Systems Admin I (Finance)

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of St Engineering, is hiring 2 full time Systems Administrator level (one) positions, to join our team in Orlando, Florida.

Summary: The Systems Administrator level (one), will support, troubleshoot, and configure physical/virtual server and SAN infrastructure. This position may include any aspect of systems administration, including supporting the listed device types, additional device types, and new software or hardware. This position provides remote and on-site technical support to both customers and in-house staff on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. It serves as customer contact on technical and system-related issues and problems. As work is performed, this position may be responsible for preparing email reports according to established procedures for internal or customer use and use such reports in analysis of equipment failure trends and serviceability issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Install/Configure/Test and troubleshoot equipment including but not limited to servers, virtual machines, SAN and NAS storage and other data center equipment,
• Perform system checks of software and devices for functionality and security,
• Provide end-user support on TransCore products and services,
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for customers,
• Prepare reports for internal or external use,
• Work with vendor support to resolve advanced issues with devices or software,
• Coordinate with clients and perform tasks according to their specifications and requirements,
• Driving is a requirement as this position will be travelling to client sites.

Requirements and Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the background, knowledge, skills, education, and abilities required:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree and 0-5 years of related experience
• Technical degree preferred or equivalent experience,
• Preferable - Network, server, or systems administration certifications
• Intermediate understanding of LAN/WAN networks using a variety of devices from different vendors, fiber optics, and video communications,
• Experience in managing physical and virtual servers,
• Experience in managing Windows Server and Linux operating systems,
• Experience with task automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or equivalents,
• Wireless network knowledge,
• Strong troubleshooting skills,
• Ability to work with end users and customers on technical topics,
• Ability to learn features of unfamiliar software packages with documentation,
• Experience with the use of Microsoft Office products,
• Must possess a valid US driver's license
