Production Control Supervisor (Finance)



Overview

Location: Calera, AL

Pay is dependent upon experience and will be discussed during the consideration process

To be responsible for the direct supervision and actual operation of the core plant and hourly personnel ensuring all environmental, safety, quality, budget and production targets are being met. The core plant includes stacking/reclaiming equipment, raw mills, kilns, coal mills, cement mills, and related equipment. The supervisor also works to achieve maximum optimization of plant equipment on a daily basis.

Role & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Be able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Production Supervisor position and Production Control Room Operator.
  • Maintain the specific accountabilities of the Production Supervisor position and stay up to date with all required training.

  • To provide training to Production Supervisors and Production Control Room Operators.

Educational Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical/industrial/chemical is a plus

Experience:

  • 5 years of control room experience in the industry or similar, with a good understanding of milling systems and kiln operations.
  • Must have computer skills and leadership capabilities.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, confined space, outside weather conditions, low lighting, artificial lighting, and explosives. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heat, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
