Painter_Senior (Construction)

Arcosa Wind Towers is searching for a Senior Painter to join our team. As a Senior Painter, you will prepare materials, surfaces, and structures for coverage with paint, laminate, rubber, or other material.

What you'll do:

• Operates conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal and other types of surfaces
• Mixes and applies alkyds, epoxies, gel coats, powder coats, urethane, zinc epoxies or water borne paint systems according to a prescribed formula
• Adjust nozzles on spray guns to obtain the proper dispersion of the spray and monitors the flow and viscosity of the paint or solution
• Cleans paint lines, paint guns and performs other cleaning preventative maintenance
• Regulates temperature and air circulation in drying ovens
• Understands curing process
• Follows all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives

What you'll need:

• Prefer candidate with 1-year paint experience or ability to learn paint process quickly
• Prefer candidate with LEAN standardized processes for paint or the ability to learn the LEAN standardized processes 
• Prefer basic knowledge of mill gauge and pressure monitors or the ability to learn 

Working Conditions:

• Hourly full-time position
• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shifts
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
