Operator (Manufacturing)
Tremco's Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing division is currently searching for Production Associates from Entry Level to experienced Operators at our Ashland, Ohio extrusion facility. These positions provide manufacturing support by performing activities that keep production lines running while maintaining quality. With competitive staring salaries paid to you weekly, these roles include incremental and developmental increases that you are eligible for as soon as your 90th day of employment within Tremco.
Operator (Entry Level)
The Entry Level Operator role is to provide Operator I, II, III with support by performing activities that keep operators focused on safely and effectively running quality product on manufacturing equipment in any of the areas listed below:
Silicone extrusion line
Rubber extrusion line
EnerEdge extrusion line
Molding Machine
EnerEdge Tape Line
Mixing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all job tasks in a safe and efficient manner while following all safety rules
Pack finished goods into appropriate containers while operating secondary equipment
Feed raw material into the Extruder while maintaining a feed ball
Support Operator in changing over, starting up, and running product as directed
Build packaging at the line and in the packaging area as needed
Complete daily housekeeping of assigned areas
Dispose of any plastic, cardboard, or any recyclables in the proper containers
Empty trash at the end of assigned shift
Effectively cover lines in one of the manufacturing areas listed below, during breaks and lunches by performing some or all core responsibilities of the Operator I position to assure quality and output are maintained
Notify supervisor or lead if issues arise during line coverage
Help setup and operate various off-line pieces of equipment to include: cutters, tape machines, punch press, hot box, and reeling machine
Move EnerEDGE master reels to appropriate step in process when needed
Safely and effectively operate the binner and move binned material to the start of the line to be taped
Operator I
The Operator I role starts up, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely and routinely while achieving or exceeding standard levels of scrap, timing and output rate a majority of the time in one of the manufacturing areas listed below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform work in a safe manner while following all safety rules
Produce product according to tolerances on blueprints
Perform routine measurements per quality standards
Read and interpret extrusion instructions
Maintain accurate paperwork with minimal errors
Correctly package and label products
Perform daily housekeeping duties: sweep, mop, chip salt, skim, and maintain 5S areas
Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards
Setup and operate various off-line and secondary equipment to include: cutters, tape machines, punch press, hot box, and reeling machine
Education
High school diploma/GED required
Experience
No prior experience or training needed; rubber molding experience preferred
Other Skills and Qualifications
Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
Ability to multi task
Ability to function well in a team setting
