Senior Auditor (Finance)
Are you interested in delivering business value by providing risk and control expertise in evaluating Altria's control environment, and communicating results and recommendations to senior leaders of the Altria family of companies? If so, we want you in Corporate Audit!
In this role, duties include:
• Understanding our business operations and processes, recognizing relevant business risks, and evaluating controls in place to adequately mitigate these risks
• Planning and conducting risk-based audits of varying complexity across the Altria enterprise
• Performing audit testing to assess the design and efficiency of controls and processes in high risk areas, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management
• Developing audit tools and testing approaches that lead to control weakness identification, process improvements, and cost savings
• Leveraging data analytics to facilitate audit prioritization and testing, and to produce relevant insights shared through the use of data visualization
• Gaining experience and business knowledge needed to position your career path within other disciplines across Altria
We want you to have:
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 3+ years hands-on auditing in public accounting or private industry. Professional designation (CPA/CIA) and Master's degree is desired.
• Full knowledge of auditing techniques, theories and standards
• A practical understanding of IT auditing techniques, including a basic knowledge of IT technologies, operating systems, databases and application platforms
• Strong problem-solving, verbal & written communication, research, project management, reporting, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience utilizing data analytics to drive efficiencies and insights within audits
• Ability to identify risk/exposure, and develop/execute audit testing in assigned areas
• Willingness to travel (domestic & international) up to 10-15% (after COVID-19 travel restrictions are lifted for business travel)
