Job Description:
Job Title: Contract Attorney
Job Summary
Epiq has an immediate need for process-focused, detail-oriented attorneys to be part of a class action settlement administration team. Epiq Contract Attorneys will help administer product-defect, anti-trust, medical, consumer law and other types of class action settlement claims. This is not a document review position.
Essential Job Functions
35% Analyzing claim documents in compliance with settlement guidelines and internal documentation/processing procedures.
20% Documenting claims analyses using a combination of proprietary and commercial business software for internal record-keeping and possible further review
20% Drafting and reviewing detailed analyses and responses to complex written inquiries and data sets by claimants or third-party filers.
5% Fielding complex telephone and email inquiries from claimants or third-party filers, occasionally regarding sensitive and/or confidential subject matter
10% Receiving training, direction, and oversight from lead attorneys, supervisors, and other project team members.
10% Collaborating with other attorneys, lead attorneys, and supervisors on group projects and undertaking self-directed individual projects.
