Equipment Technician (Maintenance)
ARCOSA Aggregates is searching for a Maintenance Technician for our Clinton, LA plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As an equipment tech, you will perform basic preventive maintenance on the plant or heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment.
Arcosa Aggregates is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. natural aggregates, including sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.
What you'll do:
- Comply with all company and industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
- Supports operations and various businesses and departments by providing aggregate plant construction and maintenance
- Clean and service equipment
- Train with experienced technicians
- Be involved with safety committee initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of experience preferred
- Knowledgeable of basic preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required
- Welding and fabrication skills preferred
- Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
- The ability to work in outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
