Equipment Technician (Maintenance)



ARCOSA Aggregates is searching for a Maintenance Technician for our Clinton, LA plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As an equipment tech, you will perform basic preventive maintenance on the plant or heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment.

Arcosa Aggregates is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. natural aggregates, including sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.

What you'll do:

  • Comply with all company and industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
  • Supports operations and various businesses and departments by providing aggregate plant construction and maintenance
  • Clean and service equipment
  • Train with experienced technicians
  • Be involved with safety committee initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of experience preferred 
  • Knowledgeable of basic preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude required
  • Welding and fabrication skills preferred
  • Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
  • The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required. 
  • The ability to work in outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
