Role
PERQ is looking for a “Marketing Events Specialist” to own the discovery, execution and strategy of the events program leading to lead generation, ROI and positive client experiences resulting in retention for the program. This individual will be a highly motivated, organized and passionate professional with proven ability to collaborate cross functionally with key stakeholders, create cohesive brand awareness through multiple event avenues and have the desire to interact and work with current clients and partners. The Marketing Events Manager will be responsible for coordination, researching and execution of all potential events, travel details, staffing, and ultimately the amount of leads/bookings generated from a given event.
Responsibilities
Make strategic decisions on events based on target market, budget, right-fit audience/company size density, internal bandwidth, and speaking potential
Works closely with demand generation manager to execute multi-channel lead generation strategies and continually optimize event demand generation campaigns, messaging and follow up cadence
Work closely with sales team for enablement of event strategy including on-site experience ownership, timing, and frequency for post-event follow up
Maintains current knowledge of product offering, value props, and common objectives to ensure targeted experiences.
Manage logistics and follow up for direct mail nurture campaigns targeting outbound/inbound and event leads
Owns and manages annual budgets related to the event program and is responsible for working within budget and producing positive ROI
Works closely with outside vendors, industry associations, partners and current clients to execute events when necessary
Own all virtual inbound and outbound event activities including webinars, social hours, educational seminars, invited speaking engagements and trade shows and conferences
Develop and report on relevant metrics to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of events programs and drive continuous improvement to meet ROI targets.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience working cross departmentally and owning projects beginning to end to achieve desired outcomes
Energetic and engaging individual with the ability to control a room
Driven professional with the ability to prioritize tasks to achieve goals
Ability to track lead data and report ROI and lead generation efforts from CRM (Salesforce would be a plus)
Strong organizational, scheduling, planning and prioritizing abilities. Able to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
The desire to turn events into an “experience” to positively promote the brand and have engaging customer interaction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, common web browser applications, and Clickup or a similar project management software.
Excellent follow up skills and professionalism
Self-motivated, ability to work independently and motivate a team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience
2-3 years of marketing or event experience
Willingness to travel as needed
