Transportation Coordinator (Transportation)

We are currently searching for a Transportation Coordinator for our plant in Ft. Worth, TX to help fuel our continued growth and success. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this position works closely with our shipping and operations departments to be able to accurately forecast and execute our transportation needs to keep our delivery schedules on track and our customers highly satisfied.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinates needed transportation at the right time and for the best price
• Continually tracks both finished and unfinished customer goods and coordinates with the shipping department, outside vendors, and customers to ensure quick and efficient deliveries
• Communicates transportation status updates to stakeholders on a continual and as needed basis
• Finalizes loads, creates shipping documents, and communicates with shipping dispatchers frequently
• Evaluates freight classifications and operating efficiency to ensure the proper delivery of products.
• Communicates with carriers to troubleshoot unexpected issues, which may be at times outside normal business hours
• Other duties and assignments as needed

 Requirements:  

• No less than 2 years of demonstrated success in a related role, preferably in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to work on site, 8am – 5pm, at our facility in southwest Fort Worth and occasionally travel to certain vendor locations around town as needed
• Ability to answer calls outside of normal business hours as needed
• The ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance
• A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
