Position Summary:
We are searching for a Vice President, PMO in our Ascend Learning Technology organization. The VP, PMO is a key member of the Ascend Technology organization and will report directly to the Ascend CTO. The VP, PMO is responsible for the successful delivery of demand management, portfolio management, project management, and governance of Ascends technology and product roadmap delivery. This represents a portfolio that is more than $50M in capital annually across Ascend. The successful candidate would function as the strategic PMO leader, focusing operationally on ensuring that stakeholders prioritize demand, that product development teams allocate capacity to align to budget, and that appropriate portfolio metrics are provided. The PMO organization also provides oversight for the overall IT organization and should create and maintain transparent metrics that represent IT service delivery. The successful candidate is one that will be able to integrate into an environment with a clear vision established and provide leadership and guidance to carry this vision forward.
This individual must be a well-rounded leader who is capable of assuming responsibility for implementing and refining a strategy as well as managing a team of resources. The right candidate must be disciplined, dynamic and flexible to manage multiple programs, work effectively in a rapidly changing environment, and meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines.
