The Ultrasound Tech performs the full range of basic and complex specialized diagnostic Ultrasound procedures.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of ultrasonography or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload. Competent with the following vascular studies: Venous, Arterial, Carotid Doppler exams. Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job. One (1) year experience in Ultrasonography procedures in an acute care setting preferred. Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families preferred.
Req. Certification/Licensure: AHA Basic Life Support required. Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only) required. A.R.D.M.S. and CVT preferred.
