Associate Director, Field Force Technology & Operations (Finance)
Overview The Associate Director, Field Force Technology & Operations will be responsible for managing all technology systems that are supported by Field Operations; inclusive but not limited to Veeva Vault Customer Relationship Management tool (including MyInsights/X-Pages, OpenData), Veeva Link, and CRM integrated reporting. Responsibilities to include but are not limited to: Configuration tasks, testing, implementation, changes and enhancements, maintenance, quality control, reporting, and training.This incumbent will also be required to support adoption and effective use of the Veeva CRM systems by all new/existing levels of users and is expected to work collaboratively with key functions including IT, Commercial, field sales, field medical affairs, and more. Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders (Sales, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Insights & Analytics) to gather business requirements for system enhancements, translate business requirements into technical/technology requirements, and partner with IT resources to develop and implement solutions.
Proactively identify process and platform enhancements to address and improve business effectiveness
Support development and creation of CRM related reporting in platforms including Vault CRM reporting, Veeva XPages, Excel, and Tableau.
Provide in-depth technology platform training of Vault CRM including new hire training and platform enhancements to field teams (Sales, Medical, Market Access)
Provide ‘how-to' and ‘best practices' support of Vault CRM platform to field teams (Sales, Medical, Market Access) and business leadership
Manage field force technology projects from initiation to completion, partnering with business stakeholders to ensure successful results
Scope of role: Support teams for multiple brands (hospital antibiotics and anti-virals) across three field organizations: Field Sales, Field Market Access, and Field Medical Affairs
Minimum Job Requirements Qualifications
BA/BS required - IT / Business
Pharmaceutical/Life Science Business acumen
7 yrs. work experience in sales operations or IT
5 yrs. experience working with sales operations systems; Veeva CRM/Vault/Salesforce & Database software - Veeva Admin Certified and other Certifications required
Veeva Vault, PromoMAT experience is required
Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees including Sr. Management
Customer service focused
Strong ability to translate IT technology processes and information to key business stakeholders to ensure proper understanding and alignment
Strong analytical skills and excellent knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical data
Experience working with field sales teams, systems and software vendors
Recognized expertise in operations strategies and concepts
Proficient multi-tasking skills with a proven ability to successfully manage a large portfolio of tasks
Proficient at IT Project Management Documentation - Waterfall/Agile (ie Project Charter, BRD, FRD, Process Flows/Mapping, RACIs, etc).
Comfortable working with IT and Software Vendors
Strategic thinking and ability to constructively challenge and influence the decision-making process
Ability to effectively translate overall strategies into actionable operational plans and assure implementation
Recognize trends and foreshadow trends in the future
Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills
Ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment with shifting priorities while providing deliverables in a timely fashion
Evidence of an individual being involved in the full life-cycle of CRM systems/IT systems in general
Ability to work beyond Shionogi core hours as necessary for project completion
SQL Server query experience
Competencies
Ability to articulate clearly and conduct verbal presentations with large and small audiences.
Ability to travel via automobile and/or airplane.
Ability to view video display terminal images
Ability to operate a computer keyboard and telephone.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time - up to four (4) hours at a time.
Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds.
Other Requirements
Must live a commutable distance to our US Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park, NJ. Office presence is required at least 3 days per week
Additional InformationThe base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000-$190,000. Individual pay is determined by several factors, which include but are not limited to: job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The range does not include the comprehensive benefits, vehicle allowance, bonus, long-term incentive, or any additional compensation that may be associated with this role.
